Who Is Dr Barry White?
Dr Barry White has become a familiar name to those suffering from hair loss. In 1998, Dr Barry White founded the National Hair Institute to exclusively treat hair loss patients. Graduating with a Pharmaceutical degree in 1957, Dr Barry White went on to medical studies and soon after became interested in hair transplantation.
Today, Dr Barry White has become a mentor for those seeking a permanent solution for hair loss for men and women. He has become the face for the National Hair Institute and is recognised for his attributes to the medical community. Hair Transplantation
Dr Barry White became interested in hair loss, its causes and corrective procedures when he was working as a general practitioner. Here, he had the time to research and discover the elements of hair loss and what he could do to help those suffering. Dr Barry White felt that if he could help people regain a natural head of hair, he could help improve the quality of life.
His interest for hair loss treatment led him to undertake a course in hair transplantation. In 1978, Dr Barry White obtained tuition from a leading hair transplant surgeon in Sydney, enabling him to work at a commercial transplant clinic in Melbourne later that year.
The hair transplant course further clarified his passion for hair loss treatment and in 1982; Dr Barry White was the founding member of the Australasian Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. Today, this society includes some of Australia’s best transplant surgeons.
Over the years, Dr Barry White undertook heavy research and became increasingly aware of the limitations of the methods in practice. As a result, Dr Barry White implemented more sophisticated techniques from overseas experts.
Hair transplantation has posed many aesthetic challenges, but none that Dr Barry White could not overcome. Working closely with leading physicians from around the world, Dr Barry White founded a successful method of hair transplantation.

Medical Experience
In addition to a Pharmaceutical and medical degree, Dr Barry White complete his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) and undertook postgraduate studies in Morbid Anatomy and Histopathology.
1996: Dr Barry White learnt the technique of dissecting grafts with a Binocular Dissecting Microscope, alongside Dr Seager in Toronto, Canada.
1998: Dr Barry White has his own transplant procedure, completed by Dr Seager. Here, he had a dense packing procedure which is now incorporated into the National Hair Institute hair transplant procedure.
2002: Dr Barry White began to investigate the change of systems at the National Hair Institute. In 2003, the National Hair Institute achieved an ISO 9002 certification to ensure that all staff follows set procedures.
2006: Dr Barry White obtained new surgeons and technicians with medial expertise in hair loss, extending the National Hair Institute’s qualified personnel.
Dr Barry White is the former president of the Australasian Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and is an active member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the Australasian College Of Cosmetic Surgery.
To date, Dr Barry White has over 40 years experience in medical field and 26 years experience in hair restoration. His qualifications and personal innovations have helped Dr Barry White become a well respected man in the hair loss industry.

Dr Barry White is actively involved in the management and day to day running of the National Hair Institute. His innovative hair transplant procedures and techniques have been implemented into the National Hair Institute philosophy.
